The male assassin and mesmer are just creepy. The female mesmer is gorgeous and has convinced me to make a mesmer. The female warrior armor is pretty frickin sweet too.

Do you guys think these armors were designed to appeal to different countries besides the U.S.? We have pretty conservative tastes here.

Not trying to flame, just curious what other nationalities think.

I'm really liking the look of the new armors, almost all of them that I have seen actually.

Kinda off topic, but If you check guildwiki, it looks like they may(now this is just my observation) be redoing all the original Chap1 armors in Factions.

I thought of this when looking at a few of the new sets.

Pyrebound Armor - Ranger - +10AL against Fire (Drakescale)
Stormbound Armor - Ranger - +10AL against Air (Studded Leather)
Cabalst Armor - Necro - +7 more energy than normal (Scar)
Dreadnought's Armor - Warrior - 10 more AL than Normal, +10AL against Phyiscal attacks (Platemail)

Again, this was just a personal thought, nothing can be confirmed.

I'm also liking the Sentinel armor a lot more now that I see the bonus is -20AL if strength is below 13 whereas I originally heard it was AL100 and +20AL if stregth is 13 or higher. This, to me at lest with my limited warrior knowledge, makes the set seem a bet more balanced.

Hmm. I wonder if any of the ritualist male armor has pants. I'm more of a fall person than a summer person so I hope there are pants

@Vahn

Are you sure it's just +10 AL on the ranger armours? The current armor+ mods are +15 AL vs. each respective element.
Hmm, maybe they're making some armor weaker and some armor stronger for incentive to buy both chapters. Like someone mentioned earlier the factions platemail type is 90 base AL as opposed to the 85 base AL in prophecies. I wonder what other similar armor types are weaker/stronger in comparison to the prophecies armor.

*drools over female mesmer armor*

I just might get that instead of FoW for my mesmer... unless the "lizard dress" has some crappy bonus. Then I'll go with +energy FoW <.<

Uhm, Ranger armours are the same.

However, Dreadnought's armour has 5AL more than Platemail, which pretty much makes Platemail even more useless then it is now.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior_armor

Also, Elementalist armour had +10 vs elemental, +10 vs <insert element>, depending on the type.

This raises a question, I have 15k platemail. Will it be updated to Dreadnoughts? If not, I'll be pretty pissed at Anet for ripping me off this way.

Hmmm, usual mix of styles here. Now we all know that when it comes to armour/looks male characters get the shaft. However, both the male sauron armour and the monk armour look great, as do the female warrior and monks ones.

As to the rest - oh dear. Not even going to comment on the assassin stuff, although I do think the words 'inspired by Mortal Kombat' should float over the assassins heads.. Although I do remember many people shouting after the FPE shouting 'beta beta beta - they'll change it'. Well as the rest of us commented they will/have changed nothing.

Personally, I'm pretty sick of the fantasy game standard fare. I don't see how the theme is any more lame than chapter one.
Let me clarify it for you: What is your fix? You think its lame, then what do you think is better? Can you do better?

I thought it was 70AL standard and +30AL vs. Elemental...

It is, but the drakescale, etc. have an additional +15 against a certain element.

Did you even read what was posted? Some guy said it was lame, and that he was going to stick with chapter one. I said that I didn't see how chapter two is more lame than chapter one, especially considering that two is a lesser-used theme and one is an overdone theme.

So maybe you should ask him your question.

They still have that, but now there is one set with +35 overall health, one with +10 while using preparations, and one with +10 using stances, overall boosting you to 110 AL on the stance/preparations armor anyway, which I consider more usefull than just having +15 against elements, because this is +10 vs. all. Meh.

That mesmer armor looks cool. I'll just keep my old mask.

Default 15k assasin?

Anyone know if I run my assasin to Citadel and Groto can I buy a set of 15k there? Or is there somewhere in factions I need to get to. Any input would be great before I waste time getting runs up to beacons then through the southern shivers. Thanks a bunch!
